Awards are never the ultimate goal of strategic communications—the real reward is building trust, navigating complex challenges, and telling stories that matter. However, it is deeply humbling to have that work recognized by peers and industry leaders over the course of my career. From receiving a Golden Mike for News Reporting early in my career, to being named the Los Angeles County Cabinet Member of the Year for Communications, alongside various awards from both the California School Public Relations Association and the National School Public Relations Association. Each recognition represents a shared milestone, a commitment to collaboration, and being a part of great teams. I am immensely grateful for these nods from the industry, which serve as a continuous reminder of the responsibility and privilege it is to shape meaningful, impactful stories.
